Postlude

H Y M N S

640 I, the Lord of Sea and Sky
I, the Lord of sea and sky,
I have heard my people cry.
All who dwell in dark and sin
my hand will save.
I, who made the stars of night,
I will make their darkness bright.
Who will bear my light to them?
Whom shall I send?

Here I am, Lord. Is it I, Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go, Lord, if you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart. (in my heart.)

I, the Lord of snow and rain,
I have borne my people’s pain.
I have wept for love of them.
They turn away.
I will break their hearts of stone,
give them hearts for love alone.
I will speak my word to them.
Whom shall I send?

I, the Lord of wind and flame,
I will tend the poor and lame.
I will set a feast for them.
My hand will save.
Finest bread I will provide
till their hearts be satisfied.
I will give my life to them.
Whom shall I send?

Open your heart, and his mercy implore;
Jesus is calling for you. (for you.)

Go Out with Joyful Singing: “The Trees of the Field” CCS 645

Benediction

Response

Postlude

H Y M N S

645 The Trees of the Field

You shall go out with joy
and be led forth with peace;
the mountains and the hills
will break forth before you;
there’ll be shouts of joy,
and all the trees of the field
will clap, will clap their hands.

And all the trees of the field
will clap their hands,
the trees of the field
will clap their hands,
the trees of the field
will clap their hands
while you go out with joy.

May galak

May galak, may saya
May tuwa sa piling ng Diyos
Sapagka't hirap ng puso ay naglalaho
May awit, may sayaw
At papuri para sa Diyos
Na hatid ng pusong pinagpala Niyang lubos

Handog Niya ay kapayapaan
Handog Niya ay kagalakan
Handog Niya ay kalakasan
Sa bawat pusong napapagal
Kaya't ang awit ng papuri
Awit ng pasasalamat
At ang awit ng pagsamba
Ay para lang sa Kaniya

99 Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee

Joyful, joyful, we adore thee,
God of glory, Lord of love;
hearts unfold like flow’rs before thee,
praising thee their Sun above.
Melt the clouds of sin and sadness;
drive the dark of doubt away;
Giver of immortal gladness,
fill us with the light of day!

All thy works with joy surround thee;
earth and heav’n reflect thy rays.
Stars and angels sing around thee,
center of unbroken praise:
field and forest, vale and mountain,
bloss’ming meadow, flashing sea,
chanting bird and flowing fountain
call us to rejoice in thee.

Thou art giving and forgiving,
ever blessing, ever blest,
wellspring of the joy of giving,
ocean depth of happy rest!
Thou our Father, Christ our brother—
all who live in love are thine;
teach us how to love each other;
lift us to the joy divine.

Mortals, join the happy chorus
which the morning stars began;
Love divine is reigning o’er us,
joining all within its span.
Ever singing, march we onward,
victors in the midst of strife;
joyful music leads us Sunward
in the triumph song of life.

516 Coming Together for Wine and for Bread

Coming together for wine and for bread,
tasting the story and hearing it read,
knowing our hunger and sharing the meal
opens our eyes to see Jesus is real.

Who will be hungry if, hearing the call,
we offer seats at our banquet to all?
Who is forgotten? Who will we ignore?
Who is the outcast that knocks at our door?

Here at this table, we’re welcomed by name;
all are invited, each seat is the same.
Serving, receiving, and eating the feast
humbles the haughty and honors the least.

Blessing this table the Spirit is here
granting us vision, so suddenly clear:
sharing and serving, the body is fed,
nourished by Jesus, the Wine and the Bread.
